Here are some resources from nzmaths that will hopefully support you get started with your numeracy teaching... Expectations for number ... The ALiM (Accelerating learning in mathematics) project has provided some resources for supporting struggling children.  They give good examples of how to develop 'target' maths lessons across the levels.  This will hopefully be added to in the future. nzmaths also has resources for supporting  bright sparks !
