How to take a screen capture
This link is to a blog that explains how to take a screen capture. This is what Jac taught you to do at the last PL session when taking photos of websites you want to add to your blog.
The link is from a site Jac put me onto by Jacqui Sharp who is an ICT facilitator in NZ. It has lots of great tips and tricks and is well worth a look.
Good luck adding pictures, learning links and games to your blogs.

To add a picture link to your blog follow these steps...
Take a screen capture (photo) of the part of the website you want the kids to see.
Copy the website link.
Open a new tab (go to... File - new tab) and open up your blog.
eg. http://room5goldfieldsschool.blogspot.com/
Sign in to your blog with your class number...
Username: room5@goldfields.school.nz Password...
Click on design in the top right hand corner of your blog.
Click on Add a Gadget down the right hand side of your blogs layout.
Scroll down until you get to the box that says picture and click on this.
Follow the steps in the box...
You will need to add a title and add a caption.
Paste your website link in the top link box (you will need to delete the http:// in this box first).
(I always tick the box that says shrink to fit before uploading my photo).
Upload the screen capture (photo) you took that is saved on your desktop by clicking on Choose File.
Press save and you have done it!
You will be taken back to the main design page.
You can drag your new picture box to anywhere you like down the side or at the top of your blog.
Click save near the top of this page before returning to your blog.
Click view blog to view your new link!

Lovely Rachael, I was going to over the weekend or maybe today since I at home. But have only just got up so am watching kiddies programmes with Maddie. Had thought of having a play with skitch to extend those that need it. (: might add that one day.
ReplyDeleteSkitch sounds good. I haven't used it much so you can teach me too. Make any changes you want to this as it was getting late when I finished.
ReplyDeleteHave fun watching kiddies programmes.
