Another way to do screen captures - for apples

Image
Hi there. Hope you all found Wednesday's meeting valuable and I know that most of you have also added some pictures and links to you blog pages. I don't use the grab function on my apple for screen captures, I discovered through AllanahK,  http://bling4yrblog.blogspot.com/    a downloadable application for apples that enables you to manipulate, draw on and add text to your photos or screen captures. I use this for adding to photos and uploading to the blog - like this and for making step by step instructions for the children to follow where I can directly send them to a icon on the desktop or window e.g. like how to log on, use kidpix etc. So to download it - you go to  http://www.skitch.com/  , sign up , download it and then I put it in my dock. Once you have made a screen grab with skitch, you can drag it to the desktop, and it automatically saves your image. (: happy screen capturing Jac

This link is to a blog that explains how to take a screen capture .  This is what Jac taught you to do at the last PL session when taking photos of websites you want to add to your blog. The link is from a site Jac put me onto by Jacqui Sharp who is an ICT facilitator in NZ.  It has lots of great tips and tricks and is well worth a look. Good luck adding pictures, learning links and games to your blogs. Rachael To add a picture link to your blog follow these steps.. . ICT food for thought

I'm sure we can all relate to this! We can learn a lot from our children  and they enjoy teaching each other. But how do we get to this...  Supporting each other  and  one small step at a time!

Kiwi /Motor cross multiplication (Rachael) http://nzmaths.co.nz/kiwi-multiplication http://nzmaths.co.nz/motocross-multiplication Julia’s activity can be found here too… http://nzmaths.co.nz/home-school-partnership-numeracy-activities Adding multiples of ten.  You need two zeros and cards A-10, place a card beside both zeros and add the two numbers together eg. 20+30=50  The winner keeps the cards. Snails – outside room 3  – using beanbags, throw them on numbers and add or multiply the numbers.  You can say what comes before or after.  Count forwards or backwards. Hop scotch – say the numbers before/after.  You could add 10 add on 2 etc (Jac) Ambleside primary website– timestables (Patrick) http://www.amblesideprimary.com/ambleweb/mentalmaths/supersequencer.html Here is another good link on the same site… http://www.amblesideprimary.com/ambleweb/mentalmaths/tabletrees.html Learning objects activity called ‘arrays’ http://digistore.tki.org.nz/ec/vie...
